CEA Announces Innovations 2009 Award Honorees for Excellence in Product Design and Engineering (13/11/2008) Innovations Award Honorees to be on Display at the 2009 International CES "These Best of 2009 Innovations award honorees represent the most inventive design and engineering-focused consumer technology products available on the market today," said Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of CEA. "It's a testament to our industry that the CES Innovations awards program continues to expand and grow, with new technologies and new innovators emerging each year. We look forward to showcasing these products to all attendees at the 2009 International CES." The Best of Innovations awards are given to the most honored products from across 34 different categories. Innovations honorees will be featured in the Innovations Showcase at the Sands Expo and Convention Center/The Venetian at the 2009 International CES. The Best of Innovations designation is awarded to products that earn the highest honors from the panel of judges, which include engineers, independent designers and journalists. These "best of the best" products will be displayed at CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of the International CES from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, in the Marco Polo Ballroom at the Sands/Venetian.
