Sharp unveils 108-inch LCD display panel (17/11/2008)

The global Audio-Visual industry will experience this flagship product for first time in Hong Kong

Sharp-Roxy (Hong Kong) Limited today announced it will unveil the world's largest 108-inch LCD display panel (model no.: LB-1085) for the very first time in Hong Kong at InfoComm Asia 2008, the premier trade show for the audio visual industry, held from 19 to 21 November 2008 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

State-of-the-art technology A triumph of commercial potential, the revolutionary model includes native 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, with Advanced Super View Black TFT technology, reducing screen glare caused by man-made light and sunlight. The new model is also compatible to 1080p/24Hz, with a fast response time of 6ms. Meanwhile, a brightness sensor makes sure backlight is automatically optimized according to surrounding brightness, providing clear visibility in all environments.

Tailored for business, with an eco-friendly concept, the industry leading design allows the display to run non-stop for 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. You will be exceedingly delighted by the fan-less design, meaning mechanical problems caused by dust are avoided and noise caused by fan rotation is reduced substantially. The fan-less feature also allows extended use with lower power consumption, which is essential for the corporate environment. Expertly made in Japan

Both LB-1085 and the PN series utilize LCD panels produced at Sharp's Kameyama Plant in Japan. Apart from manufacturing LCD panels, our factory in Nara, Japan also carries out the final production and assembly of products.
