Xantech Introduces New DDS Audio System based on DIGI-5 technology (21/11/2008) CEDIA US Expo 2008 DDS System Delivers Affordable - Scalable - Easy To Install Audio Distribution System Using Patent Pending circuitry resulting from years of research Xantech offers to its current customers and an entire new base of integrator/installer, an audio distribution system that is designed toward quick, turnkey sales and installation. It accomplishes this while delivering a level of flexibility and sonic quality until now available only on more costly more labor intensive systems. Xantech President Graham Hallett states that with high power and lossless audio quality “The music is insured to be noise free, full signal strength, high power and high performance.” Hallett noted “Each keypad completes the task of high end sound quality with the use of an on-board 30 WPC Digital Amp with DIGI-5 technology.” Hallett states that DIGI-5 technology eliminates the need for a digital to analog converter (DAC) by using a patented digital signal processing (DSP) technique to digitally control a high efficiency power device. “This is what makes our DDS system unique.” The basic components of the DDS System are Amplified In-Wall Keypads, the Digital Audio Hub and Local Source Input Wall Plates. System wide audio sources are accessed and controlled by the in-wall keypad amplifiers in each zone. Local audio sources can also be accessed, controlled and listened to in each zone. Speakers for that zone would connect directly to the keypad amplifier in that zone. All audio sources either system wide or local can also be controlled via IR commands. All this and the DDS system also distributes audio from paging and doorbell systems to each zone! DDS components and systems will be available in the forth quarter of 2008.
