Phase Technology Unveils New Quick Mount TwistLoc Mounting Design for CI Series VIII QM Speakers (25/11/2008) CEDIA US Expo 2008 Revolutionary, no-hassle mounting system makes installation easier and safer than ever before. Known for its industry-leading engineering and product development team, Phase Technology(r) has released the TwistLoc(tm) , a new mounting system for its CI Series VIII QM round speaker line that will revolutionize the ease, speed and safety of flush-mount speaker installation. No longer are installers required to hold the speaker in place overhead while tightening the mounting screws. The CI VIII QM round speaker is simply twisted into the flange, held secure while the mounting screws are tightened. Installers are free to take their hands off the speaker while reaching for a screwdriver, providing added convenience and safety during the install. This breakthrough comes from newly developed clamps on the back of the speaker that engage with tabs on the flange to hold the speaker tight to the flange until those mounting screws can be tightened. All new CI VIII QMs and flanges are constructed with the twist lock mounting system. Either piece can be retrofitted to previously manufactured products.
