Smart-e announces new SmartCore matrix system (28/11/2008) Stand 1L91 , Integrated Systems Europe 2009 SmartCore is the new matrix system from Smart-e allowing an impressive 256 AV sources to be routed up to 256 displays. SmartCore is a true non-blocking matrix switcher which routes and distributes multi-format high resolution video and audio signals from various AV sources to a multitude of projectors, LCD and plasma screens. Designed to use industry standard CAT 5* connections for both input and outputs, AV sources can now to be located in remote areas to the matrix.
Centralising AV resources through a single switching and distributing unit provide a very flexible and cost effective solution for managing audio visual communications. Using a CAT 5 in and out matrix combines the cost, reliability and ease of maintenance advantages of centralising AV resources with the added flexibility of including AV sources installed in other areas of a building. Modular in design, the SmartCore system is made by combining building blocks of 64x16 allowing flexibility of upgrading in the future thereby reducing the initial outlay normally required when purchasing a large matrix system. CAT 5 cabling is used throughout for all connectivity between the 64x16 block as well as the inputs and outputs, reducing space requirements and providing reliable and neat wiring. The SmartCore system is ideal for a variety of installations including large control/monitoring rooms, Corporate communications and Marine applications for luxury yachts and commercial shipping. Smart-eís range of switching and distribution matrices deliver multi-format professional high quality sound and images from DVD players, set-top boxes, video cameras, laptops and PCs, to LCD and plasma screens, cinematic projectors, PC monitors and speakers. Signals are transmitted via a single CAT cable resulting in fewer cables and reduced installation time. All equipment has a three year warranty, boasts a wide range of features with easy-to-use controls, and includes all the latest compatibility such as BluRay. * CAT 5 refers to CAT 5, 5e. 6. 7 and 8
