Dynalite shows off integration at ISE 2009 (28/11/2008) Stand 3A110, Integrated Systems Europe 2009 Leading lighting control and automation group, Dynalite, will demonstrate its integration expertise at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2009 exhibition. Dynalite will showcase a wide range of control system elements and software that enable advanced levels of lighting control, and seamless integration with third-party control systems. Dynalite will also operate an exhibition-floor demonstration room, where an operating integrated lighting control system will provide visitors with technical insight and valuable hands-on experience. According to Paul Wilmshurst, Managing Director Dynalite Europe, fully integrated control systems are becoming more prevalent across both residential and commercial sectors. "There is a real demand for integrated lighting control systems that can incorporate third-party control elements, such as audio-visual, curtains, blinds and temperature control systems," he said. "From a commercial building perspective, integration with systems incorporating Ethernet backbones, such as building management systems provides hotels, offices and residential complexes with installation and control flexibility. Dynalite is one of the few lighting control and automation providers that can offer this level of integration." Centre stage at this year's exhibition will be Dynalite's exhibition-floor demonstration room, which will comprise a mock boardroom equipped with a remote-controlled integrated lighting and AV control system with additional curtain and blind control. The system will incorporate Dynalite controllers, serial port interfaces and user control interfaces, as well as third-party control systems. All components will be linked via Dynalite's sophisticated peer-to-peer communications serial bus network, DyNet. A team of Dynalite technical experts will be on hand to provide further explanation as visitors get up close and personal with the Dynalite technology. Here, attendees will gain insight into the functionality of the Dynalite solution-set, as well as behind-the-scenes set-up and programming. In addition to this fully integrated lighting control system, Dynalite will showcase a number of individual integrated control system elements, such as the company's modular multipurpose controller range. Ideal for home automation and hotel suite control applications, the controllers feature unique hardware-configurable design, where plug-in output cards accommodate specific loads assigned to the system. Visitors to ISE 2009 will also witness the launch of Dynalite's new fan coil unit controller. The latest addition to Dynalite's building automation solution-set, the fan coil unit controller provides accurate air-temperature management in commercial environments, such as hotels and offices, while seamlessly integrating with complementary control systems. One of the world's most flexible and intelligent 10/100Base T Ethernet interfaces, Dynalite's100BT Ethernet gateway series will also be on show. A vital element of any integrated control system, the 100BT series permits Ethernet connectivity between DyNet, Dynalite control systems and third-party technologies. Dynalite's RS232 serial port interface will also be featured. It provides cost-effective serial port integration between Dynalite and third-party systems. Dynalite's Revolution Series 2 user control panels will be exhibited for the first time at ISE 2009. Featuring an innovative slimline design, the new user control panels boast a wide range of grid and button configurations, colours, cover finishes and backlighting options, including dynamic OLED text display. Panel fascias can be provided in practically any architectural surface medium, while button caps can be engraved and backlit, providing unlimited décor-matching flexibility. Another of Dynalite's user-interface solutions will be on display--the Revolution colour touch screens. The LCD touch screens allow users to create and display visually stunning and easy-to-use control pages, incorporating logos, buttons, faders, floor plans and diagnostic icons. Operators can execute simple and complex conditional logic macros, or call up system diagnostics with a tap of the screen. Other products on display at the exhibition include Dynalite's DLight III MapView site management software, and DLight II programming software. "No other lighting control provider can match the breadth, variety and functionality of the Dynalite solution-set," said Wilmshurst. "Dynalite systems set the global benchmark for integrated lighting control solutions."
