Canford Shows New Interconnects, Adapters and Panels (4/12/2008)

Canford's range of interconnection products at ISE 09 will include a selection of RDL (Radio Design Labs) audio and video processing units, Canford's new Universal Modular Panels and many ingenious inter-series adapters including 15 pin HDD to BNC adapters , HDMI, DVI, USB and many more. Specialist AV cables from Belden and Canford's own professional cable range will be shown alongside copper and fibre connectors from Neutrik and the modular connector wallplate system from RPP.

Canford will be launching their new 'Universal Modular Panel' system giving the user the ability to mount virtually any combination of audio, video, data and power connectors in a 2U rack panel without costly custom metalwork. The 'Modular' system extends the customisation concept established in 1987 by Canford's 'Universal Connection Panels' which allow any combination of Neutrik 'D'series, Switchcraft or Canford 'Universal' connectors to be mounted in a standard, cost effective panel. This 'Universal Connection Panel' range has recently been enlarged to include half rack width panels and accessories in 1U, 2U and 3U size suitable for their half width Rack Wall Boxes.

Canford will show their range of space saving full and half width Rack Wall Boxes. These steel enclosures with integral rack strips in a variety of depths and heights enable connector termination panels and some shallow rackmount equipment to be mounted without the need for bulky, full depth datacom type wallboxes. These Canford manufactured units are available in three standard colours; custom sizes and colours are also available.

RDL processing and interconnect products has a justified reputation for quality and originality. The range consists of audio and video amps, mixers, combiners, signal generators and processors of all types in rack mounting and freestanding versions plus their unique 'Stick On' line (which does what it says on the tin). There is a solution for every conceivable problem in interfacing, communication and distribution. Canford has also announced that for a limited time they're offering 10% OFF across their RDL range.

Canford's range of adapters, connectors and specialist cables is arguably the most extensive available within our industry. At ISE 09 they are displaying some of the latest additions to this range including HDMI & USB screw terminal adapters and HDMI to DVI (male or female) adapters. There are also Universal series D-Subs that mount in the Neutrik 'D' series cutout, which until now has been impossible to achieve, also D-Sub screw terminal, cable and panel mounts in 9 and 15 pin versions and more.
