Niko opens the doors of its prestigious new headquarters (5/1/2009)

Leading Belgian electronics manufacturer, Niko opened the doors of its prestigious new headquarters recently. Built alongside its established premises in St. Niklaus, Belgium, the new Niko HQ is a benchmark in style, design and function.

The Niko company was established in 1919 and made its name designing and manufacturing an extensive range of advanced products in the areas of electrical switching, lighting control, home automation systems, intercom systems and videophones. These quality products are sold worldwide to customers who appreciate Niko's solutions because of their ease of installation, ease of use and outstanding design.

The history of Niko features a series of innovative products and the company is now so well established in its home market of Belgium that it has achieved over 70% market penetration for its electrical switches. As far back as the Sixties, Niko was demonstrating its skill for customizing homes by delivering a 'lifestyle' with its products.

The new building is a stunning new landmark in St Niklaus, which demonstrates the company's expertise in lighting effects with a LED-illuminated reception desk that changes colour in a programmed sequence; and eye-catching identification of the building from an illuminated Niko logo that shines out from the glass front of the first floor of the building.

Niko employs 550 people at the headquarters which combines its administrative offices and a manufacturing facility that has been constructed entirely from Belgian-sourced materials.

Niko's commitment to increasing its European market is further demonstrated by with its attendance at the leading European technology exhibition, Integrated Systems Europe, at the beginning of 2009 where it will be showcasing its wide range of innovative home automation and lighting solutions.
