Company's First Pre-Packaged DigiLinX Offering Delivers Complete 6-Zone Audio Distribution and Control System Featuring TouchLinX TLA250 Touchpad Amplifier/Controller

NetStreams(tm), the global leader in networked entertainment systems and technology based on Internet Protocol (IP) standards, has introduced the NetStreams DigiLinX(tm) "6-Pack" (DIG6P), the company's first pre-packaged system for DigiLinX. A technologically advanced, value-packed distributed audio and control system, the DigiLinX 6-Pack comes in a single box and includes NetStreams new designer-friendly TouchLinX(tm) TLA250 amplified touchpad controller. It provides integrators with all the components they need for a 6-zone DigiLinX system that supports metadata, intercom, paging, and lighting control. The 6-Pack will be available from NetStreams in late December.

"Wrapped around the award-winning TLA250 touchpad, the new DigiLinX 6-Pack package allows integrators to bring the cost for a 6-zone, metadata enabled system down by more than 35 percent, vs. buying separately a touch screen and amplifier combo for each zone," said Sanjay Castelino VP of Marketing and Business Development of NetStreams. "We wanted to offer the power of DigiLinX in a pre-packaged, simple kit that would be a starting point for customers.

The expansion options from the kit are limitless, from door stations to touch screens, to home theater integration, and IP-Based video distribution."

The DigiLinX 6-Pack package brings the best features and innovation of NetStreams DigiLinX product line to a segment of the multi-room audio market previously untapped by NetStreams. At the heart of the 6-Pack system is the designer-friendly TouchLinX TLA250 touchpad amplifier/controller, which incorporates a glass finish faceplate, touch sensitive buttons and built-in OLED. The designer layer under the faceplate can be tailored to match and compliment virtually any home or business décor.

The OLED screen can display meta-data (song, artist, album name), control any audio / video source connected, as well as third party systems such as lighting through the power of macros. The unit also features a 50-watt per channel amplifier, Burr-Brown D/A and A/D converters, and Texas Instruments(r) Digital Signal Processor for high quality audio distribution and playback. The front of the unit includes an IR receiver to enable control from a universal remote, including the ability to pass through IR commands to control sources anywhere on the DigiLinX network.

In addition to the TLA250, the kit includes a MediaLinX(tm) Pro (MLA4000), a PowerLinX(tm) 750W power supply (PL751), and SwitchLinX(tm) (SW324) 24-port managed network switch. The MediaLinX Pro hosts up to 4 audio sources or 5 RS-232 or IP controlled systems. In a system this could include an XM and/or Sirius tuner, an iPod(r) dock, and any legacy source. All the metadata capable sources would show their information on the TLA250s OLED display. In addition to the audio sources, other home systems such as a lighting system could be controlled by the MediaLinX Pro. StreamNet(tm) Connected media servers can also be connected directly to the network switch and deliver up to 6 streams of audio to the system. This allows for up to 10 sources in the out of box configurations with expansion capability to go to as many sources as are desired.

From the baseline package, installers can add any other StreamNet Connected product from the DigiLinX product line or partner product lines.

This includes TouchLinX touch panels, DoorLinX(tm) the MP3 door station, TheaterLinX(tm) for home theater integration, and IP-Video for complete HD video distribution. The system can also expand to as many zones as necessary.

Taking the next step in delivering value beyond the out of box components, the 6-Pack will include several pre-built project file options that will enable a dealer to configure and install a system even quicker. The configuration file options will include NetStreams products, as well as common audio sources and lighting components from leading manufacturers in the U.S. and Europe.

The DigiLinX 6-Pack is another tool that NetStreams is providing installers to help deliver exceptional value to their customers in this challenging market environment. The solution provides a complete 6-zone audio distribution and control system that can expand and grow with the customers' needs.
