Philips Pronto presents new touch screen control panel (26/1/2009)

Stand 1H29, Integrated Systems Europe 2009

At the Integrated Systems Europe 2009 in Amsterdam Philips is showcasing its new additions to the Pronto family of control panels. Brand new is the IF design award winning Pronto TSU9300. This control panel features a high-resolution flush-mounted 2.8” QVGA (320x240) color touch screen, allowing easy readability and handling with only one hand. With its bright touch screen, white back-lit buttons and stylish design, the Pronto TSU9300 is a perfect fit for any advanced home system. It will become available in May 2009.

The WiFi-based TSU9300 can control your audio-video equipment as well as Lutron RadioRA lights and shades and can provide feedback on the activity performed via the control panel’s screen. With its out-of-the-box integration with Escient FireBall media servers, the Imerge SoundServer S3000 and other XiVA supported music severs (Elan, SpeakerCraft, Xantech, Niles and Revox) and Windows Media Center Edition computers, this multi-functional panel offers a simple solution to manage even the largest digital music, DVD and CD collections. Consumers can make use of a full on-screen user interface, displayed on the clear 2.8” QVGA screen, and scrolling wheel to control their music library.

Further updates

Next to the well known and trendsetting Philips Pronto TSU9600, Philips recently launched the similar Philips Pronto TSU9800 Control Panel which offers a large 6.4-inch VGA color screen, premium docking station with ambient lighting, as well as wall or fixed table top mounting options. The high resolution display provides exceptional readability and a control panel designed for maximum comfort, efficiency and ease of use.

To support total home control, multi-room wireless and wired remote control installations, the TSU9300 and TSU9800 both integrate seamlessly with the two optional extenders: The Pronto RFX9400 and the Pronto RFX9600.

Pronto Script

Additionally to this the Philips Pronto TSU9400, TSU9600 and TSU9800 control panels feature ProntoScript programming functionality, one of the main reasons the TSU9600 was awarded a golden CE Pro High-Impact 2008 winner. Pronto Script enables a completely integrated two-way home control solution and the creation of a dynamic user interface.

Consumers can now check whether the lights are on in any room, consult temperature levels of HVAC systems, or quickly read volume levels for the various zones in the home – all from the screen of the control panel.

Philips Pronto continues its challenging goal by extending the boundaries of control and this has resulted in partnerships with more than 40 leading custom installation brands, providing unique and richer user interfaces for content and simplified full home control to consumers.
