InAVation Awards go down a storm (6/2/2009) The winners of the EMEA+ InAVation Awards were announced on the eve of ISE at the award's ceremony. Guests from across the EMEA region gathered at the Hotel Okura in Amsterdam to celebrate the best AV technologies and installations from the past year. Despite snow storms, cancelled flights and the UK's curious inability to cope with extreme weather conditions, the 2009 EMEA InAVation awards event attracted nearly 500 AV industry professionals to an evening of networking, fine food and the unveiling of the 2009 winners. Technology & Project Winners Over 12,000 individual technology votes were cast on the dedicated awards web site to decide the eventual winners of each of the eleven Technology InAVation categories. 101 project entries were submitted and were evaluated by an independent panel of judges taken from the AV integration, Architectural, Building and Facilities Management industries. 32 companies made it through as finalists with the chance of winning one of eight Project InAVation awards.
