Meridian Introduces Connectivity Key for Its SpeakerLink Technology (6/2/2009) Integrated Systems Europe 2009 Meridian Audio Limited, the leading digital home theatre manufacturer is pleased to introduce SpeakerLink Cables for connection between components and DSP loudspeakers. The Meridian-branded SpeakerLink cables will complete the connectivity key for the proprietary SpeakerLink technology. After careful research and auditioning, Meridian developed a flat CAT5 interconnect for critical audio applications. Bearing the Meridian name, consumers are of course assured that the cabling offers extremely high technical specifications and delivers superb sound quality. These Meridian cables will be available pairs in a variety of lengths. Uniquely Meridian, SpeakerLink offers a proprietary interface through commonly used CAT5/6 cable and RJ45 connectors. SpeakerLink delivers a simple one-cable system that provides balanced digital audio significantly reducing the possibility of interference found on conventional systems. With this technology, an easily concealed wire is the only connection required to connect Meridian's DSP loudspeakers with the company's audio processors or audio-video sources. Meridian offers SpeakerLink connections on its top-end DSP loudspeaker offerings, DSP8000 and DSP7200 as well as its Reference 808.2 CD Player. For legacy components, Meridian offers the recently introduced, AC 11 Meridian Component Interlink; a hub that interfaces SpeakerLink components with Meridian legacy models that employ DIN and/or BNC Meridian Comms ports and S/PDIF digital audio connections. Prices Available from Your Local Distributor.
