Easily Customized TSV-E5 Offers Dynamic Interaction, Cameras, Web Widgets and More, All from a Brilliant, High-Resolution Display

Russound, the #1 brand in multiroom audio, will soon ship the E-Series Color Touchscreen TSV-E5, featuring best in class control of audio/video sources.

The new touchscreen's extensive feature set includes intuitive "dynamic interaction" with music stored on Russound's SMS3 Smart Media Server, IP camera control, and personalized web widgets, all displayed and accessed via a high-resolution 213.3mm color touch screen.

The most powerful interface in Russound's E-Series line, the TSV-E5 Touchscreen is easy to use. Designed to complement the ACA-E5 controller amplifier -- the centerpiece of the E-Series family of advanced multiroom products -- the TSV-E5 goes beyond traditional control, allowing users to easily recall personal favorites, view web content including weather, news and sports, and see who's at the front door, all from a touchscreen.

As simple as it is to use, the TSV-E5 Touchscreen offers an advanced level of control, especially when used in tandem with the Russound SMS3 Smart Media Server. In addition to presenting a menu of music organized and cross-referenced by artist, album, genre, and song (all with cover art), users can rate, add, and remove music from their playlists.

The TSV-E5 supports Russound RNET Smart source components, including the iBridge(tm) Dock, and the ST2 Tuners with AM/FM and satellite radio programming.

"The wide market adoption of the iPod and the media server concept is acclimating end-users to the notion of interacting with media instead of simply accessing it," said Doug Hansel, Russound Product Manager. IP-based camera support is embedded in the touchscreen, giving users the option to use the TSV-E5 as another screen for monitoring security inside and out, while pushing the doorbell automatically brings the assigned camera into full view.

Along with its primary control functions, the TSV-E5 includes such value-added features as a sleep timer and alarm, making it easy to set the Wake function to play music in any room equipped with the touchscreen. For all its features and benefits, the TSV-E5 is simple to install, requiring only a single CAT-5e cable.

Russound's Sphere(tm) Certified Integrator Program is available to established Russound dealers who are certified with the company's line of E-Series technology products. To participate in the program, dealers must have a valid resale certificate, in addition to being a member of a recognized trade association in the consumer electronics, computer, telecom, electrical, home building, or security industries. Additionally, they must commit to never selling Russound products via the Internet, catalog, or telemarketing, and must demonstrate proficiencies in all areas affecting custom audio/video installation.
