AWE Spring Expo showcases UK firsts including the Philips Pronto TSU-9300 and Panasonic TH-50VX100e Custom Home Theatre plasma (20/3/2009)

AWE, the top AV equipment distributor to the UK custom installation trade, has announced details of its next trade dealer event, the AWE Spring Expo. Following on from the highly successful September event last year, it will take place at AWE's Epsom HQ from Wednesday 22nd - Thursday 23rd April.

The Expo will feature a number of exclusive UK first showings, as well as training, a showcase of AWE's range of leading brands and the latest demonstration of whole house control in the AWE Solutions House which shows a true whole house audio, video and lighting system in an eye-catching interactive display all controlled by a Philips Pronto.

Highlights will include a number of AWE exclusives:

* First UK showing of the new Philips Pronto TSU-9300 which gives a fully customisable remote control working with IR and RS-232, all at a new lower price point for Pronto wi-fi based remotes.

* Launch of the new custom finished Pronto TSU-9600 - hand finished in leather!

* First UK showing of the new Panasonic TH-50VX100e Custom Home Theatre plasma, alongside the recently launched TH-65EX100e - already accepted as the best plasma Panasonic have ever made! Check out the Panasonic CHT vs. Pioneer KURO demonstration!

* The new 10 series of Panasonic Viera plasmas and LCDs will be on show. The recently expanded line-up of flat panel TVs offer new features and screen sizes each offering high-image-quality functions plus a host of networking functions.

* European launch of the new Cineversum BlackWing One which delegates can see in action in the newly upgraded AWE demo room alongside the KEF KHT-9000 and a new KEF sub.

* First UK showing of the upgraded Xantech MRC88M multiroom controller and HD88 video switcher. The MRC88M is an 8 by 8 matrix switching amplifier with meta data feedback giving zonal feedback across 8-16 zones. Add the HD-88 for totally reliable HD video distribution with speaker and line level outputs per zone.

* Get hands on with the new Xantech Digi-5 - a ground breaking digital multi-zone multi-room audio system with more power and higher quality than the older analogue designs. This fully digital package is ideal for multi dwellings or for cost conscious installations.

* Delegates can also see a display of the latest IR KIT from Xantech with new styling of the IR receivers for improved performance and adhesion. The patented design of plasma and LCD/CFL receivers offer the best compatibility of any IR kits.

There will be a variety of presentations and training opportunities available including an AWE commercial presentation on the excellent margins and dealer strategy that the company has to offer, 'Pronto in a whole house environment', a Xantech multiroom presentation looking at MRC8M, Digi-5, HD video distribution and IR kits, and a Panasonic CHT commercial and technical presentation.
