Sonance Introduces New VP67R 'Visual Performance' Ceiling Speaker (30/4/2009) Sonance, the company that invented and popularised in-wall and in-ceiling 'custom installation' speakers has added a new model, the VP67R to its highly successful 'Visual Performance Series'. Sonance loudspeakers and electronics are distributed in the UK by Armour Home. Ashley Hutchinson, their category manager responsible for Sonance stated: "The Visual Performance Series already offers the industry's most compelling solution to the challenge of incorporating audiophile sound into today's sophisticated interior designs. The new VP67R extends the line by applying the award-winning aesthetics to more applications throughout the house." Like all Visual Performance Series models, the VP67R combines elegant modern style with outstanding audio performance. The VP series loudspeakers provide custom audio solutions that empower designers and installers to produce results that are truly stunning, visually as well as sonically. Visual Performance speakers are easy to install in both new construction and retrofit jobs, using familiar installation techniques. They feature attractive, one-piece, round or square shaped all-metal grilles, which attach magnetically, making finishing simple, quick and efficient. The VP67R features a coated carbon fibre speaker cone for improved transient response and to minimise sonic distortion. The output level of its very high quality, ferro-fluid cooled, aluminium dome tweeter can be adjusted by plus or minus 3dB. In addition, the tweeter assembly is 'centre mounted' and pivots independently of the main cone. Combining these two features enables the VP67R to deliver an excellent stereo performance by directing the sound towards listeners, even if the speakers have to be located in 'less than ideal' positions. Price: £800 per pair including VAT. Availability: Now, from authorised installers throughout the UK.
