Vogel’s launches the 8000 Series across Europe (1/5/2009)

Introducing a groundbreaking range to drive up flat screen attachment rates

Thanks to over 35 years of experience and insight into consumer and retail needs, Vogel's, the European market leader in innovative audio and video equipment mounting and furniture solutions, is proud to announce the launch of its new 8000 Series - a complete range, using a clever combination of the USPs that really matter to A/V consumers.

Featuring three distinctive product categories (Motion+, Motion and SuperFlat(tm)), in four different sizes to ensure maximum compatibility, the 8000 Series offers retailers up to 11 different wall mounts and a Floor Stand to choose from.

Motion+ & Motion

The Motion+ and Motion categories give consumers that are looking for the ultimate movie theatre experience the possibility to watch their TV from the perfect angle. Offering maximum flexibility, Motion+ turns the flat screen 75 degrees to either side, so that the user can always get the best view, avoiding sun glare or other reflections from outside. Motion+ can also be set perpendicular to the wall with a 90° corner option at the touch of a finger tip. The Vogel's patented Screen Protection System (SPS(r)) also prevents TVs from bumping into the wall when turning.
Motion on the other hand, is the ideal choice for users that require flexibility, but that have slightly less room to manoeuvre, as it still allows them to turn TV screens 45° from side to side.

SuperFlat(tm)

By hanging a TV on the wall just like a painting, more space is saved, offering an elegant design at the same time. The SuperFlat(tm) mount hangs screens just 2 centimeters (0.8 inches) from the wall, leaving plenty of room for ventilation and cables - the perfect solution for viewers that want to sit directly in front of the TV.

Standing room only

For extra flexibility to place the flat screen anywhere in the room, the 8000 Series floor stand is the perfect solution. It takes up less room than a cabinet and can store a DVD player or game console
under the TV. Cables and the power socket can also be cleverly tucked out of sight in the stand's column and integrated storage panel.

Fits every flat screen

Available in four different sizes (S, M, L and XL), the series includes up to 11 different wall mounts in a new packaging to create extra stopping power. Taking up limited shelf and storage space, the products in this line are easy to install and include new features such as a spirit level to facilitate installation, a cable column that can hide up to 10 cables and separate tilt or A/V multi support modules.

Practical accessories

Consumers can add another dimension to their viewing position with the Vogel's tilt module that can be moved up or down by 15 degrees in each direction, making it easier to see the screen while lying on the couch or floor.

Vogel's cable column accessory hides all unsightly cables and is specially designed for the next generation of flat screen mounts. This ultra thin (2cm/0.8") space saving column comes in lengths of 64 and 94 cm (52.2"/37") and can hold up to 10 cables.

An A/V multi support module is also available to provide neat storage space for all of your AV equipment just underneath your flat screen. You can adjust its height and depth to fit any size of device.

"The new 8000 Series of wall mounts and floor stands meets 100% of customer demand and features the USPs that really matter, aiming to increase sales and drive up attachment rates for flat screens across Europe, giving retailers more cross-selling and up-selling opportunities and helping them to earn extra turnover," comments CEO, Gerdi Vogels.

"Although the market for flat screens has exploded in recent years, customers are buying bigger flat screens at cheaper prices, cutting the margins that could previously be attained. Today, a growing number of flat screens are being sold in shops already mounted on walls - often customers don't think about doing the same thing at home until they have seen the in-store displays - this gives sales staff an excellent opportunity to sell our high-margin add-on products."

Vogel's has created an extensive array of in-store communication and trade marketing tools to support sales, including: Planograms, attractive self-selling packaging, consumer brochures, an interactive buying guide (Vogel's FlatscreenFitter(r) Touch) to help the customer find the ideal mount for any flat screen, 'Vogel's Sales Tips' for sales staff and a number of useful websites (www.vogels.com, www.flatscreenfitter.com and www.mountyourflatscreen.com).

Vogel's products are sold via national sales organisations and distributors in various countries.
