Armour Home introduces Soundcast Systems 'SubCast' to the UK market (5/5/2009) 'SubCast' Wirelessly Solves The Perennial Problem "How Can I Hide The Subwoofer Cable?" Armour Home is pleased to introduce 'SubCast' to the UK market. The perfect alternative to a conventional subwoofer cable, SubCast allows consumers to make any subwoofer 'wireless'. Ultra simple 'Plug 'n Play' SubCast, which is designed and manufactured by Soundcast Systems of California, requires no programming and no assigning of IP addresses. Simply connect the 'Sub Out' from a home cinema amplifier into the small SubCast Transmitter and power it up, then plug the SubCast Receiver module into the Subwoofer inputs and power that up. As if by magic, the subwoofer can now be placed anywhere in the room, completely solving the problem of how to hide conventional cables - especially in homes with fashionable wooden flooring. No buzzing, no dropouts, no distortion Soundcast have refined FHSS - Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum - a patented technology which enables all Soundcast products to find an open channel and broadcast clear audio signals in the 2.4Ghz band, regardless of any other devices operating there. This means the signals are completely 'interference free' and there is none of the buzzing, distortion or dropouts which have previously plagued wireless solutions. In short Soundcast's engineering team have enhanced this wireless technology to eliminate barriers to achieving maximum sound quality. Both the transmitter and receiver are very small and discreet, measuring only 155 x 40 x 25mm each. Naturally, all the short cables, connectors and adaptors required are included. There is even some self-adhesive 'velcro' to attach the receiver completely out of sight, on the rear of the subwoofer if desired. The Subcast has a transmission range of up to 45m indoors. Price: SubCast has a recommended retail price of £150 including vat. Availability: Now from Soundcast dealers throughout the UK.
