AWE brings Panasonic's 65" TH65VX100 and 50" TH50VX100e CHT plasma monitors to the UK market (12/5/2009) AWE, the leading distributor to the UK CI industry, launched the new Panasonic full HD Custom Home Theatre range of plasma monitors into the UK market. Exclusively available in the UK through AWE, these fantastic 50" and 65" high end monitors are the flagship products from Panasonic and are only available through authorised dealers who install the screens as part of high-end AV systems. AWE is now signing up these premium dealers, reflecting the exclusive nature of the Consumer Home Theatre (CHT) range. "The Panasonic CHT range is rapidly being confirmed at the best screens Panasonic have ever produced and, as monitors, shows the professional video experience that Panasonic has drawn on in creating them" states Stuart Tickle, MD of AWE. "These are the premium screens on the market with a premium dealer platform to match and are designed to be the centerpiece of any home cinema set up." The CHT range currently consists of the 65" TH65VX100 and the 50" TH50VX100e with both monitors having 18 bit chipsets for the highest level of video processing and smoothness of motion available. Further major enhancements in black levels and grey scale give the most natural and detailed picture available on the market. Four HDMI inputs are provided out of the box alongside other options, with various specialist input cards available if required. Of course, RS-232 is also standard for integration into a control system. The screens have an elegant 'penciled' black extruded aluminium finish with gentle curved edges enhancing a very slim profile to cater for the most high-end of tastes. And, being the range topper, the TH65VX100 plasma panels are hand selected from the production line ensuring only the best of the best make it to be a CHT screen! The image processor can be adjusted to suit the application and source material and if wanted, the settings can be recalled for different source material so the screen can perform to its maximum level no matter what is being shown. Naturally as a top end screen, ISF calibration is supported with both day and night settings.
