NuVo Technologies advances multiroom audio opportunities for UK dealers (19/5/2009) Stand C8, CEDIA UK Expo 2009 Supporting the presence of its exclusive UK distributor, Habitech (Stand C8), NuVo Technologies, the leader in affordable, complete, easy to install and use whole-home audio systems, will unveil a series of products tailored specifically for the local market. Among the stand-out highlights will be previews of NuVo's latest system, Renovia, the new Colour Touch Pad and developments in its Music Port server technology. Other significant innovations on display will be the new Wireless Control Pad and the ENERGY STAR compliant DAB and FAM dual tuners, all to be shown with the company's successful Essentia and Grand Concerto systems. NuVo is inviting visitors to take a close-up look and share their views on NuVo's Renovia system, which will be previewed on the Stand. Scheduled for European launch in early 2010, Renovia will be a robust, reliable and easy to install multi-room audio system that uses PowerLine Communications (PLC) technology. It will thus allow dealers to retrofit multi-room audio into homes, using the existing main wiring for a quicker installation with minimal disruption. A first glimpse of NuVo's new Colour Touch Pad and Music Port technology will also be available on the Stand. Compatible with the company's Grand Concerto and Renovia systems, the Colour Touch pad's slick, user-friendly, full colour LCD display features four backlit buttons for simple access to commonly used functions. NuVo will also preview its latest Music Port Server which allows up to 4 music sources to be managed simultaneously from anywhere in the house via a simple user interface. When paired with the Grand Concerto, Essentia E6G and Renovia systems, the Music Port Server allows any and all networked or client PCs to become conduits to music, whether from iTunes, Windows Media Player or any other player, or streamed via internet radio. Also featured will be the Wireless Control Pad. This latest option for controlling a NuVo multi-room audio system joins NuVo's hard-wired, in-wall OLED Control Pads and web browser-based Music Port interface to offer dealers a range of options. The small, sleek Wireless Control Pad features a 1.6-inch OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) screen, and is roughly five inches long, two inches wide and less than an inch thick, making it about the size of a smart phone. Visitors to Stand C8 can also see NuVo's single rack, ENERGY STAR compliant NV-T2DAB dual tuner, which receives FM and DAB broadcasts simultaneously. The tuner's signals can then be distributed throughout a home using NuVo's Essentia E6G or Grand Concerto whole-home audio systems. As with all NuVoNet source equipment, the two-output DAB tuner displays metadata on NuVo Control Pads. For installers with international clients, NuVo's language support for the Essentia E6G and Grand Concerto whole-home audio systems brings major advantages. This feature ensures that with simple programming from the installer, homeowners can choose to view menu options and control the system in Cyrillic script for complete ease of use as well as Spanish, French, German and English. NuVo has plans to roll out further European language support over the next year. NuVo's award-winning, ENERGY STAR certified Essentia E6G system is a diverse, expandable, and affordable six-source, six-zone system. The main amplification unit can supply 40 watts to each zone, which can be extended to 12 with the system expander, delivering precise, high quality sound throughout the home. It also includes a state of the art power supply to minimise energy consumption and the risk of heat-related equipment failure. Essentia E6G is the first whole-home audio system to earn the coveted ENERGY STAR logo - consuming less than one watt of power while in standby mode. Grand Concerto is an elegant, six-source, eight-zone whole home audio system that combines NuVo's proven performance and the industry's most innovative technology. It incorporates a unique capacitive touch Interface and provides 80 watts of power per zone to create the NuVo signature sound - impeccably crisp and clean at any volume. The system also comes with a built-in infrared receiver designed to block adverse interference from plasma displays, sunlight, or fluorescent lighting. Both Grand Concerto and Essentia systems work with NuVo's hard wired whole-home audio network - NuVoNet - which enables all of the company's systems to talk to each other across the property. www.nuvotechnologies.com
