ACA-Apex shows Fibre Optic panel (22/5/2009)

Stand B23, CEDIA UK Expo 2009

Fibre Optics will rapidly become a necessary overlay to residential cable infrastructure systems, and by using suitable converters and/or a matrix switch, enables longer and reliable cable runs, and provides more flexible design possibilities for higher definition picture distribution and other networking requirements.

Recognising this potential ACA-Apex with its knowledge base of networking solutions including Fibre Optics, and its innovative approach to product design, has developed a Fibre Optic panel that sits neatly into its already established 19" panel and CRIS panel ranges.

ACA-Apex have adopted a modular approach to all of their products and have continued this theme with the Fibre Optics, meaning that the housing for 8 duplex Fibre Optic connectors can be slotted into existing panels with 12 way Cat5e apertures. So a CRIS Rack panel would have 8 connectors and a 19" panel could have up to 16. An angled version has been developed to slot into CRIS enclosures to ensure that there is a suitable bend radius for the fibres. To complete its Fibre Optic offering ACA-Apex will also distribute suitable Fibre Optic cabling, tooling and connectors.

As this is an exiting new development to the Custom Install market, ACA-Apex are bringing together a comprehensive Fibre Optic installers training programme, which will soon be available.

ACA-Apex will be showing this new range along with its established range of products at CEDIA in June stand B23.
