Chief offers next generation of mounting solutions for mistake-proof custom installations (1/6/2009)

Chief's new FUSION low-profile, universal mounting system provides the most progressive collection of features yet, focusing on usability and speed of installation. The new design, available in fixed or tilt models, was engineered to solve the most common installation problems for the professional installer and free up valuable time.

To develop the new FUSION™ Series, Chief® began by conducting field research. The Chief product development team joined professional installers onsite, to observe specific challenges they are faced with when mounting flat panel TVs. These challenges, ranging from the need to lateral shift the screen after the installation to perfect leveling of the flat panel, directly influenced the design of the FUSION Series.

Installer feedback has really helped us to mold this new FUSION Series into progressive, time saving mounts that truly simplify installations. Therefore these features will appeal to all installers that integrate Flat Panels into any application:

- Centerless™ Lateral Shift. Our new mounts will allow the installer or end-user to relocate the TV left or right without tools, after the installation.
- ControlZone™ Leveling provides fail-proof mounting. Make all needed adjustments after the mount is on the wall, including overall mount height and leveling. This provides installers the option to height adjust the entire installation after it is wall mounted, or just height adjust either the left or right side to fine-tune the leveling of the screen.
- Click-Connect™ features an audible click when the screen safely engages with the mount. For easy cable access, use the built-in cable stand that temporarily positions screen away from the wall. It also provides a connect/disconnect of the screen without the use of tools. In addition, Chief mounts have integrated security build in as well.
- Centris™ Low-Profile Tilt provides effortless, fingertip tilting without tools while remaining less than 2" deep.

Accessories

A full line of supporting accessories ideal for almost any application - including home theater - can be integrated with the FUSION mounts, extending the same adjustment benefits to the entire configuration. Mix and match accessories with any FUSION mount for the perfect installation in every application. Accessories include a surge adapter to allow a surge protector to be installed with the TV; connector kits that allow multiple FUSION mounts to be connected together; centre and left/right speaker adapters; a dual or single component shelf for additional AV components; and a range of camera shelves to enable video conferencing.

The component shelf was designed with custom applications in mind. It provides limitless centering, because the shelf is attached to the mount and not the wall. This means that should the installer or customer want the entire installation to be moved left or right by up to almost half a metre, the mount, TV and component shelf will all travel together in one go. In addition, the speaker adapters can slide effortlessly in and out from the mounting system so these can be placed easily half a metre from the TV to optimise the sound, or flush against the screen for a clean look.
