New XQ60b Delivers Ground Shaking Low Frequency Support

KEF has announced details of its new XQ60b Powered Subwoofer, a truly powerful performer, which joins the current KEF XQ line-up.

The attractive curved cabinet and hand finished, rich gloss black lacquer finish of the XQ60b beautifully wraps a subwoofer that is all about performance. The combination of a massive 300mm die-cast long-throw LF driver, driven by a powerful 200W RMS Class-D amplifier, delivers high output and deep, tight, tuneful bass.

Using the simple and logical controls and connections of the XQ60b ensures superb results in the system. With both line level and speaker level inputs that can function simultaneously, the XQ60b is easy to integrate into any system configuration. The adjustable selectable phase control, low pass crossover and 3 levels of adjustable equalization let the user tailor the performance of the XQ60b to match the main speakers and compensate for the variability of room placement.

The XQ60b also introduces the KEF SmartConnect(tm) Intelligent LFE and Stereo Line Level inputs. SmartConnect(tm) automatically detects whether an LFE or stereo input is connected and then adjusts the subwoofer's volume level (gain) accordingly, greatly simplifying the set up process.
