Denon introduces AVR-4310 AV receiver with Audyssey DSX surround sound expansion technology (11/6/2009) Denon, one of the world’s premier manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment components, has unveiled its advanced seven channel AVR-4310 surround sound receiver – and the new Denon AV powerhouse offers a world first: this muscular unit is the world’s first receiver to feature the brand new Audyssey DSX surround expansion technology. This supremely advanced feature adds surround channels where they have the most impact – at the front of the listening room – resulting in a more enveloping and immersive soundstage. To deliver the most detailed possible High Definition sound from a Blu-ray discs, the AVR-4310 supports the outstanding 4th generation Denon Link technology for dramatically reduced jitter transmission via HDMI. Besides six HDMI inputs (one at the front) and two simultaneously running HDMI outputs, the new Denon features network connectivity, high resolution video scaling and the premium Audyssey package with MultEQ XT, Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ. The Denon engineers have further improving the listening experience through a re-design of the output stages and the selection of the finest sound-tuned components. The additional new Denon Clock Jitter Reducer ensures the best audio quality from digital sources without 4th generation Denon Link capability, maximising the listening experience expected from a Denon heavyweight. The world’s first appearance of Audyssey DSX will cause quite a stir. This technology extends 5.1-and 7.1-channel sound sources to a wider and higher dimension. A more spacious sound is achieved through an additional pair of speakers placed wider than the usual front speakers, and a more expansive sound is achieved by adding two height speakers above the front speakers. This creates a new and never heard before listening experience. In addition to the most complete Audyssey package ever, the AVR-4310 also features Dolby Pro Logic IIz for additional height speaker support. The audio and video sections include well-known and highly-acclaimed Denon technologies like the D.D.S.C.-HD Circuit, AL24 Plus Processing and Compressed Audio Restorer as well as Denon High Picture Quality Circuitry and Digital Noise Reduction for maximum home entertainment quality. A high resolution 12bit/10bit scaler from Anchor Bay Technologies enhances even poor standard definition sources to a high quality 1080p image. Furthermore, the AVR-4310 supports vertical stretch to display movie content in original CinemaScope aspect ratio. Advanced connectivity, such as network audio and photo streaming, front and back USB ports with USB iPod Direct Connect function (digital audio transfer) or multi-room support can easily be handled by the advanced graphical user interface (GUI). To ensure owners can access the newest Denon technology for years to come, the AVR-4310 will be ‘feature-upgradable’, just like its successful predecessors the AVR-3808 and AVR-4308. The Denon AVR-4310 will be available in June 2009 at a suggested retail price of £1899. Colour variations are perfectly matched to the Denon Blu-ray player line-up and include Premium Silver and Black.
