Lagotek Releases Next Generation Home Control Software (16/6/2009) Designed to maximize residential energy efficiency Lagotek Corporation, a provider of residential and commercial building automation systems, today announced the release of Fusion Suite version 3.6, its premiere home control software package and the Home Installation Tool (HIT) version 1.7. Combined, these two new software releases are designed to improve home energy efficiency for homes of all sizes by simplifying the installation and customization process. By delivering improved Z-Wave functionality that manages lighting, climate and motorized window coverings, Lagotek helps homeowners make their residences more energy efficient. "Until now, energy efficiency in the control of lighting, motorized window coverings, hydronic and forced air heating have been very challenging and expensive for large homes," said Eugene Luskin, CEO, Lagotek. "Our Z-Wave performance improvements make it possible for Lagotek to deliver optimal efficiency in any size home." New features in Fusion Suite v3.6 include a Web interface that allows remote access from a PC, Google Phone or Apple's iPhone. In addition, a new Z-Wave external antenna provides enhanced signal strength in areas of the home where RF communications could be problematic. In development since late 2008, Lagotek's extensive beta program provided key dealers across the U.S. an opportunity to contribute to the finished product.
