Designed to support today’s high performance voice/data cable, fiber optics, coax, and flexible conduit, the Cable Cage Polypropylene (or CCP) Series J-Hooks (P/N’s: CCP32-100, CCP32W-100, CCP32AC-100) feature a smooth pulling design with an integral latch for stress free cable support. One- and three-inch hooks (CCP16 and CCP48) will also be available by July 1, 2009.

“CCP Series J-Hooks combine a steel design with a unique polypropylene over-mold to significantly reduced fiction when pulling bundles of cables,” explained Lee Sachs, Platinum Tools, Inc. president and general manager. “Ultra smooth cable pulls decrease the physical stress on the cable during installation, which is paramount for high speed data installations, and also greatly reduce the incidence of cable burns when pulling long distances.”

Unique to the new patent pending CCP Series J-Hook is a molded in bail latch to quickly lock cables in place. Simply bend the tip of the J-Hook around and latch it onto the locking tab to assure cables stay in their runs. Cables can be latched and unlatched hundreds of times without extra parts or fumbling with cutting cable ties.

“The CCP Series J-Hooks are great time savers for installers,” added Sachs. “Faster cable pulls, no burned cables, and the integral latching mechanism all combine to provide the installer with a more robust product that will definitely increase the bottom line.”

Designed for use in plenum environments and typically used above suspended ceilings or below raised floors, these components allow for customized cable spacing support and horizontal to vertical changes in direction. Made from galvanized steel with a yellow zinc chromate finish, the CCP32 is for mounting to walls, the CCP32AC is for mounting to ceilings, and the CCP32W is a batwing design for mounting to ceiling wire or threaded rod. All come in 100 piece cartons.
