Sharp adds LC-32DH57E to its line up of eco-friendly LCD TVs (2/7/2009)

Sharp Electronics today welcomes the LC-32DH57E to its LCD line up. This 32inch HD-ready TV with built in Freeview is ideal for those looking for a high quality TV with top eco credentials.

The LC-32DH57E demonstrates cutting edge LCD technology and contains a host of features including a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and a response time of just 6m/s, so even fast moving images are clearly reproduced. With its 16:9 screen format and 24p cinematic support the LC-32DH57E takes movie watching to a new level.

Ideally suited to the eco-conscious viewer, the LC-32DH57E has a low power consumption of just 90W and a low power standby option of 0.6W. The eco-control button on the remote allows viewers to directly operate the Energy Save Mode, decreasing power consumption up to 40% while the TV is being watched. Furthermore this intelligent TV automatically adapts the screen brightness to the ambient lighting conditions of any room through the built-in OPC (Optical Picture Control). The LC-32DH57E has been awarded the European Energy Saving Recommended badge, supporting its status as one of the most environmentally friendly LCD TVs on the market.

The LC-32DH57E boasts automatic volume control that always keeps the sound at a specified preset volume, meaning viewers won't be bothered by volume peaks and troughs. Two 10W speakers with built in digital amplifier produce a powerful sound while three HDMI inputs and SCART sockets mean that connectivity is made easy and the LC-32DH57E is available to use with a range of technologies.

Tommaso Monetto, LCD Product Manager, Sharp UK, commented: "With consumers becoming ever more concerned with environmental issues, Sharp has developed an LCD for those hoping to upgrade to HD-ready technology, without having to compromise on any green specifications. With its sophisticated features and affordable price tag the LC-32DH57E offers people top TV technology with an eco status to match."

Pricing

The LC-32DH57E has a RRP of approximately £500.
