OmniMount Systems announces Viking CI rack systems (28/7/2009) Ready assembled, fully customizable full or half-sized custom install rack systems OmniMount, a pioneer in the design and manufacturing of A/V mounts and furniture for residential home entertainment and commercial applications, now has a new line of customizable CI rack solutions in its growing product portfolio. OmniMount’s Viking Series features the RSF Floor Rack System and the RSF.5 Floor Half-Rack System. These professional grade rack systems and accessories for managing components give an organized and polished look to any custom install. The highly-customizable Viking Series rack systems all feature standard 19-inch rack enclosures to accommodate a wide range of audio and video components. Each product includes vented cooling for easy placement in closets and against walls, shelf clamps to secure components, integrated cable management for routing bundles up to three inches and multiple customization accessories to enhance installation ease. All products feature removable handles, and ship fully assembled for immediate out-of-the-box use. The RSF is a 30-space rack with four 2U space shelves, one 5U space shelf and five 2U space vented blanks. It supports up to 453.6 kg, with the 2U shelves supporting up to 22.7 kg, while the 5U shelf supports up to 45.4 kg. A caster base provides easy placement inside closets or against walls. The RSF.5 is a heavy-duty floor half-rack system that is perfect for applications where a full-size rack isn’t needed. It is a 16-space rack, with three 2U space shelves and three 2U space vented blanks. It supports up to 226.8 kg, while the 2U shelf supports up to 22.7 kg. A caster base provides easy placement inside closets or against walls. All products in the Viking Series are available now; the RSF.5 is priced at £599.99 and the RSF £799.99.
