KEF launches Ventura Range of outdoor custom install speakers (10/8/2009) Serious Sound Quality from New All-Weather Models KEF has announced details of its Ventura Range of outdoor loudspeakers. Ideal for the patio, in the garden, by the pool, or even on a yacht, the all-new Ventura Range features three models, each with a UV resistant, high impact ABS cabinet and robust military-grade corrosion resistant aluminium bracket and grille system for years of listening pleasure. Featuring an integrated mounting bracket with up to 180 degrees of lateral adjustment, placement is simple. The two M6 threaded brass inserts further provide even more mounting options. KEF has concentrated on sonic performance with the Ventura Range, something often overlooked in outdoor CI designs. The Ventura Range is voiced for resolute clarity and impact specifically for an outside setting. The result is an excellent sound quality from an outdoor speaker. All Ventura models feature a fluid cooled anodized aluminium dome tweeter which delivers smooth high frequency, and an injection moulded, low-distortion long throw woofer with rubber surround. This allows the speaker to deliver a warm deep bass response. Both drivers combine to deliver the sonic qualities that KEF’s multi-award winning domestic audio and surround sound speakers systems are famous for the world over. There are 3 models, ranging from the ultra compact Ventura 4 (80 watts power), the intermediate (in size only) Ventura 5 (100 watts power), to the top-end Ventura 6 (125 watts power). All models have a nominal impedance of 6 ohms. The KEF Ventura Range of outdoor custom installation speakers is expected to be available in mid August 2009.
