Somfy Launches somfysmarthome.co.uk microsite aimed at the smart home trade (17/8/2009) Somfy, world-leading manufacturer of motors for shading and security control systems, has launched a new microsite aimed at the smart home trade. The microsite has been designed to help professionals quickly identify which type of wired or wireless Somfy motorised product best suits their application, and to download full technical specification sheets.
There are dedicated graphics for each area of the home, including lounge, kitchen/diner/conservatory, bedrooms, patio area, bathroom, and garage and gates. Each contains in-situ examples of relevant Somfy products, including motors for projectors, screens, curtains, blinds, TV lifts, garage doors, and awnings. Once a product type is selected, more detail on the products within that range are instantly accessible, including product summary, connection methods and a downloadable PDF data sheet. The microsite is part of Somfy's commitment to simplifying the specification and installation process for custom installers. The solutions presented have been developed so that they can be seamlessly integrated with third party control systems from other leading manufacturers using dry contact, radio, infrared (IR), RS485, KNX or conventional controlling systems.
