Market Background:-

The global economic crisis has affected the international entertainment technology industry badly, however China’s Entertainment Technology market is still booming with increasing demand. The buoyant demand is evident of the nation answering to General Secretary, Hu Jintao’s call at the 17th National Congress of Communist Part of China to “promote the development of socialist cultural prosperity.”

This is supported by the government steadily increasing their input in cultural programs, complemented by private enterprises entering the cultural industry, resulting in the exponential growth of the cultural industry, greatly surpassing that of the country’s GDP. The cultural consumption space in urban and rural areas nationwide is rapidly expanding, with the total consumption expected to topple 700 billion yuan (US$100 billion) in 2008 and likely to witness further increase in 2009.

The intrinsic relationship between Chinese products and the international market has promoted the development of various forms of economic cooperation between Chinese and foreign performing arts industries. This has injected new vitality to the China International Exhibition of Pro Audio, Light, Music and Technology and brought boundless business opportunities for exhibitors from home and abroad.

China’s huge market demand, coupled with the close co-operation between the International and local Entertainment Technology Industry players, has brought forth a new energy level at PALM EXPO, creating significant business opportunities for our exhibitors. PALM EXPO 2009 has witnessed a 20% growth in Musical Instrument Exhibitors and 10% increase in Local Pro Audio and Lighting Exhibitors with the International Exhibitors numbers remaining the same as past years.

Spanning 85,000sqm this year, PALM EXPO 2009 has registered a 20% increase in total area and created a new record of being the biggest show in the history of the China International Exhibition of Pro Audio, Light, Music and Technology.
