Philips Pronto and OnlyOneRemote offer the best tailored IR-code database (3/9/2009) CEDIA US Expo 2009 Thousands of installers have already discovered the power of a true custom install tailored IR-code database from Only One Remote with all functions including discrete codes. Only One Remote is continuously collecting and testing new IR codes from all major brands, presenting them in a convenient database format suited for Philips Pronto. Having the correct infrared codes with all available discrete functions is one of the main challenges to get home control projects done. Together with Atlanta based Only One Remote (O1R), Philips has been building a unique and revolutionary database that covers most custom installation brands and models of 2008 and 2009. Years of experience and testing has led to a highly reliable and powerful set of IR-codes that can be used for free in projects. The O1R database compliments the large Philips factory database. It is unique for a number of reasons. First of all, the database is not organized by model number, but it contains product groups of components using the same codes, for example, ‘Denon receiver main zone all models’. Moreover, all functions are grouped alphabetically making it much easier to find the function you are looking for. O1R database powerful tool But what makes the database a truly powerful tool when used with ProntoEditProfessional, is the fact that labeling of all the functions is done very consistently. As a result, the reuse of graphical interfaces in projects with different components has never been easier. It is sufficient to change the component brands in the Pronto editor. All the new codes will automatically be linked correctly to all buttons, removing the need of manual verification. “The focus of the O1R Database is not to be the biggest but to be the most useful database around”, Dave Sereno, CEO of Only One Remote comments. “This database was created specifically with Pronto Edit Professional in mind. The accuracy and consistent naming of IR functions makes code substitution within the Pronto editor almost flawless. Since we create so many configurations for all regions of the country, we are always aware of new devices or codes and, as a result, update the database regularly.” In fact, there will be a major update in September. This update will add new TVs, projectors, receivers, tuners, cable and satellite boxes, iPods, Media servers and CD/DVD players, but also multi-zone systems, game consoles, lighting systems, shades, video processors as well as additional code for previously existing devices. Philips Pronto will be present at CEDIA Expo 2009 in Atlanta. The Pronto Team will explain all there is to know about Pronto, ProntoScript and the partners at booth #2018. www.pronto.philips.com
