Smart Homes organises 4th Home Automation and Smart Living Show (4/9/2009) The fourth “Show Home Automation and Smart Living”, organised by Smart Homes will be held on 18 and 19 November 2009. More than 130 parties displayed what they have to offer. This year approx. 3.200 professional visitors - who will receive a full picture of the possibilities and the latest developments in two days - are expected. A varied show with many interesting product and project presentations, lectures and entertainment awaits you, the visitor. Why the Show Home Automation and Smart Living? Smart Homes strives toward a higher quality of living and life in general. Home automation and ICT significantly contribute to this. It is therefore no surprise that technological solutions are being sought after more and more to offer solutions to social problems such as ageing, more efficient care, security and energy management. Additionally, technology also offers greater comfort and entertainment - wherefore there is an exceptional amount of attention for this year. The Show is extraordinary in that you have the opportunity to actually see and experience what is possible in today’s world of home automation. Thanks to its broad character, the event is particularly suited to those who have made their career in Home automation & Smart Living. Home automation in the care environment The rise in the ageing population, growing waiting lists and the threat of a shortage of “hands” can be partially resolved using home automation. By intelligently applying technology, older people can live independently longer and care can be provided more efficiently. Home automation as a lifestyle In addition to its application in the care sector, home automation is also being seen more and more as an actual lifestyle. Pleasant, comfortable and secure living environments are being created more and more often using home automation and smart living. Think, for example, of fulltime, double-income couples. Technological solutions can bring relief to their busy lives. But 50 to 65 year olds can also find home automation very helpful. They are the target group that often has money available and, at the same time, increasingly more often spend on smart products and applications for the home. Home entertainment in the special AV-pavilion A special pavilion has been created where companies in the audio/video and home automation sector will have the opportunity to introduce themselves. Audio and video applications refer to music, film, photography, games, video cameras, networks and much more. These devices can be integrated invisibly or very flamboyantly into the design and interior of the living space and environment. Visit this special pavilion at ring 4. Energy management By now everyone is convinced that energy consumption has become a significant item on political agendas. To prevent global warming, a growing number of environmental measures are being taken and the need for innovative solutions for energy savings is increasing. An attractive energy savings can be achieved in living environments by using home automation to tune the need for lighting, heating and/or ventilation. Motion sensors, for example, can be utilised to automatically switch off lighting as soon as no further movement is recognised. Or the heating can be switched off automatically when the garden doors open. Learn more about the many possibilities. Safe and secure feeling Ever increasing demands are also being made on the accessibility and security of living and working areas. Security against burglary, electronic barrier systems, fast reporting of smoke detection and direct warning in case of personal illness. What is significant is that home automation can not only contribute to the resident’s feeling of safety and security, they can also provide a fast warning system in case of disaster. You will hear more about this during the event! www.beursdomoticaenslimwonen.nl
