Innovolt Showcases HEM-X1000 Rack Mountable Power Manager (9/9/2009) CEDIA US Expo 2009 Protects Electronic Components from More Than 99% of all Electrical Disturbances on the Power Grid Ideal for all Past, Present and Future Single- and Multi- Room Electronic Installations Innovolt Inc., an Atlanta-based company, will tap the 2009 CEDIA Expo to showcase their multiple-award nominated HEM-X1000 Rack-mountable Power Manager, which incorporates the company's revolutionary patent pending CVSS(TM) (Current & Voltage Surge Suppression) technology. According to the company, their CVSS(TM) technology represents the first major advancement in the power protection industry in more than two decades, protecting electronic components from more than 99% of all electrical disturbances detected on the power grid. The five most common types of disturbances are defined as Voltage Sags (which lead to Current Surges in electronic components); Over Voltages; Brownouts, Power Outages and Voltage Surges (lightning)." "By comparison," says Innovolt Vice President of Sales Walter Crowder, "surge protectors on the market today utilize TVSS (Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor) technology which only protects against Voltage Surge (lightning) and is widely self sacrificing. These type of disturbances represent less than 1% of measured disturbances, leaving expensive electronic components vulnerable to the large majority of disturbances threatening residential and commercial locations today." CVSS(TM) technology goes one step further: it incorporates a microprocessor that provides predictive modeling - anticipating and pro-acting to electrical disturbances; an additional benefit is the incorporation of Four Stage Noise Filtering. Innovolt's HEM-X1000 Rack-mountable Power Manager makes full use of CVSS(TM), making it ideal for all home applications from single rooms, to home theaters and whole house integration. The unit accommodates up to eleven electronic devices and features two input and two output jacks (RJ45/RJ11) and five coaxial inputs and output jacks for cable / satellite sources. Two liquid crystal displays (LCD) located on the front of the HEM-X1000 scroll through an event log that details all power grid disturbances experienced at the installed location. The HEM-X1000 can be rack mounted (hardware included). MSRP is set at $999. Units are shipping now. The HEM-X1000 is backed by an unconditional replacement warranty. Innovolt Models Based on CVSS(TM) technology, the rack mountable HEM-X1000 ( shown above, $999 MSRP) protects sensitive digital electronics equipment from all types of power disturbances, period. Independent of price, no other power protection device offers this level of protection. It also provides a diagnostic readout capability through use of the Power Doctor, the technician's tool which provides a detailed history of recorded power disturbances. A power station version, the HEM-X250, with MSRP of $399 will be available soon.
