Pantel Adds Waterproof Universal Learning Remote to its Outdoor Weatherproof HDTVs (11/9/2009) CEDIA US Expo 2009 HDTVs Offer New Infrared Learning Remote Control at no Additional Cost Pantel, the worldwide leader in outdoor, weatherproof HDTV solutions, is pleased to add an infrared (IR) learning remote to its outdoor weatherproof TV lineup. The Expo is held in Atlanta, Georgia from Sept. 9-13 at the Georgia World Congress Center. “Pantel outdoor weatherproof HDTVs add a new outdoor room for residential home theater applications. Now we are adding an innovative, infrared universal remote that can float, so users can command up to seven IR devices from their pool or Jacuzzi,” commented Joe Pantel, CEO of Pantel Corp. “We recently eliminated our wireless connectivity option for the TVs due to upcoming security concerns for Internet connectivity. We wanted to add another innovative option for the TVs going forward. What could be more fun than a floating universal remote?” The black and white, Pantel learning remote can learn the commands of the user remote, button by button. Users can copy each command from a cable or DVD remote to the Pantel remote in a few simple steps. The remote is ergonomically designed to be easily used by most adults. The long sleek remote offers numerous programmable presets and a favorites button. Pantel HDTVs are available in a 20-inch to an industry leading 65-inch screen size, offering a 5 to 6.5ms refresh rate depending on the model. With a protective anti-reflective glass screen,Pantel LCD HDTVs can be used anywhere, inside or outside the home and are designed specifically for easy outside viewing in the mid day sun.
