Peerless launches TV stand furniture range (30/9/2009) Wall-mount specialist innovates with designer TV stands Peerless has launched a new range of premium audio-video TV stands, providing consumers with quality furniture in three exciting designs, at three ‘designer’ price-points: Manhattan (Best), Broadway (Better) and Hudson (Good). The new range is a premium solution for those who prefer to keep their TV off the wall, whilst requiring space for essential source products, and includes the Manhattan corner unit – perfect for the UK, where corner placement is still favoured, and one of only a few designer corner units currently available. Manhattan comes in three sizes: 1200, 1000 Corner and 800 – each representing the unit’s width in millimetres. The side panels are finished in five-times painted and polished, multi-layered lacquer black to complement the latest screens, whilst a UV-bonded top glass shelf and cable tidy provide additional elegance. The 800 supports screen sizes up to 32inches; 1000 up to 42inches and 1200 up to 60inches. There are two Broadway sizes – 900 and 1100mm – intended for up to 37inch and 50inch screens respectively. Finished in durable black and supplied with a choice of colour inserts – black, red, white and silver – an adjustable middle shelf and 360degree casters make this a flexible solution. Hudson is available in four sizes – 1200, 1000, 800 and 650 – and utilises space-saving D-shaped glass and integrated cable management throughout. The 1200 and 1000 can support up to 60kg, and are intended for screens up to 60inches and 42inches respectively. The 800 and 650 can support up to 40kg, and are designed for screens up to 32inches and 26inches. All three furniture designs utilise safety-standard-approved toughened safety glass (where glass is used as a support), are easy to assemble and have been built using the finest construction techniques. “The days of cheap and not-so-cheerful TV stands is over, and today’s consumers recognise that they need to buy great-looking, well-built furniture to support and complement their flatscreen TV,” says Gordon Dutch, Managing Director of BBG/Peerless. “Our new range of furniture provides consumers with three premium options, all beautifully designed, and all built to the highest specifications.” Suggested retail prices: Manhattan 1200: £299.99; 1000: £279.99; 800: £249.99
