TRUFIG introduces its 'design without compromise' mounting process (5/10/2009)

Dana Innovations, the company that brought you Sonance and iPort, unveiled its latest brand of innovative designs, TRUFIG™ at CEDIA Expo 2009 in Atlanta. TRUFIG presents the ability to take technology supplied by various manufacturers and provide a uniform industrial design, consistent color, and a mounting process to achieve a perfectly seamless installation into a wall or ceiling. “Sonance was founded on the idea of taking a cabinet speaker and making it less obtrusive by developing a method of installing it in the wall and making it beautiful. This focus on design was resurrected three years ago with the innovation of the Architectural Series speaker and is now establishing a new level of refinement with the introduction of TRUFIG,” reflects Scott Struthers, Founder.

TRUFIG offers what none have before: the talent to contribute to brilliant architecture and design by taking away. By removing dated, protruding flanges and other traditional wallmount necessities, and replacing them with perfectly seamless fixtures, the products bow out of the spotlight and allow the artistic excellence of the structure to grace the center stage. Generating excitement with architects and designers, TRUFIG is aimed at the design driven home. “TRUFIG brings to homes an architectural solution where there once was an architecturalchallenge,” says California and London architect Patrick McInerney, RIBA.

Transform the Obvious

The TRUFIG custom installation kits have been developed to seamlessly integrate common wall fixtures such as light switches, electrical outlets and audio/videowall plates for a clean, flush mount custom installation. A variety of single gang, double gang, and touch screen kits are available.

Each TRUFIG custom installation kit includes: TRUFIG Mounting Platform, TRUFIG Trim Components, TRUFIG Fascia and TRUFIG Fascia Removal Tool. Three standard colors are available and custom color matching instructions are provided for on-site modifications. “TRUFIG represents a new opportunity for the CEDIA Electronic Systems Contractor, generating additional income to existing projects while helping to solidify the ESC’s position as an integral member of the design team—along with the architect, lighting designer, and interior designers,” said Scott Struthers.
