CEDIA Region 1 Announces New Board at AGM (20/10/2009)

Following its recent AGM, CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association) has announced the results of elections for the new CEDIA Region 1 Board (UK, Europe, Russia, Middle East, India, Pakistan and Africa).

New ESP members appointed to the Board are Rufus Greenway from West London-based company, Sound Environment who takes up the role of Marketing Chair, Gary Lewis from Future Systems in Cobham who will replace Fraser Stride as UK Outreach Chair and Marc Etienne-Huneau of the French member, Dark Side of the Room who will be International Outreach Chair. Taking on the position of International Membership Chair is Wim de Vos of distributor, Genesis Technologies. Adrian Blundell of CSE Custom is re-elected to the Board and will take over the role of Expo Chair whilst Fraser Stride will be the new Vice Chair and Treasurer.

Robert Hallam of Irish company InControl will continue to serve as Chairman. Stepping down from the Board are Jane Scotland from Beyond The Invisible who has spent three years as Marketing Chair, Paul Helliar of D&T Electronics who has served on the Board for five years in a range of positions, most recently as Treasurer and Stuart Tickle of AWE Europe who for the past six years has acted in various roles, including Expo Chair and Treasurer.

The full Board which will serve for a two year period on the new Board (unless otherwise stated) is as follows, with their assigned responsibilities and development tasks:

Simon Buddle (SMC): Education Chair
Rufus Greenway (Sound Environment): Marketing Chair
Gary Lewis (Future Systems): UK Outreach Chair
Marc-Etienne Huneau (DSR): International Outreach Chair
Adrian Blundell (CSE Solutions): Expo Chair
Wim de Vos (Genesis Technologies): International Membership Chair
David Graham (Grahams Hi-fi): UK Membership Chair
Simon Williams, (Olive) will continue to serve as an active member of the Board as Immediate Past Chairman.

The CEDIA AGM took place on Tuesday 6th October at the Leeds City Hilton Hotel. A copy of the Annual Report which CEDIA has produced to accompany the AGM is available to all members.
