Habitech Introduces Fusion Research media servers to the UK market (30/10/2009)

Media Servers for Commercial and Residential Use Movies - Music – Photos

Fusion was started in 2003 by a small team of successful entrepreneurs from the cutting edge world of dynamic medical imaging and storage. The partners founded and ran their venture backed company for a number of years before successfully selling it to a public entity. Having been in the demanding medical environment for many years, the founders wanted to take their experience into a new and exciting area, which is when they decided to start Fusion Research.

The team at Fusion has a deep understanding of the underlying technology of digital imaging, storage and networking as well as the use of protocols and control for system communications.  They bring their significant domain knowledge and expertise to the new and emerging area of imaging and networking in the residential and commercial market using open IP based products.

The MiniGreen 1080p Cinema Player is the latest addition to the current line of Fusion media servers.

The player is extremely energy efficient, requiring only 18 watts. This also results in a very low operating temperature, which combined with its small dimensions makes it an excellent choice to place in convenient spots like behind displays.

Joe Storm, President of Fusion says, “This player is a major step forward for our dealers.” “Cheaper, smaller and lower energy usage will give integrators even more flexibility in their installations.”

The MiniGreen Player is 2.45” x 7” x 8”, features a versa mount and two will fit in one rack width. A custom rack kit will be developed for it as well.

Fusion's Mini-Player has an impressive set of specifications to deliver the most flexible, quite and highest picture and sound quality in a media server zone player on the market today:

Beautiful 1080p scaling
Quiet 12-volt operation
Solid State design
Only require standard cat-5 connection to server
Digital 5.1 Dolby output - (analog stereo as well)
Very small footprint
