AWE introduces new UK-style keypads from Xantech (30/10/2009)

AWE, the exclusive UK distributor of Xantech’s comprehensive range of multi-room, control and IR distribution products, has strengthened its Xantech Digi-5 range by introducing new UK style keypads.

New developments in Xantech’s Digi-5 range are set to boost the popularity of these multi-zone multi-room audio products. Now available with UK style keypads, the high quality digital amplifier based system provides increased volume and much improved quality over older A-bus systems. Digi-5 is therefore the perfect choice for upgrading older systems as well as in new build projects where cost constraints do not allow for a big budget system.

A complete multi-room audio package is provided by both the D5SHK4 and the D5RHK which as standard are able to control up to four sources, distribute audio in up to four zones and feature a digital delivery system. The D5SHK4 is based on a 4 source, 4 zone wall mount hub with 4 amplified keypads and the ability to remotely locate sources. The keypads simply connect to the hub with a single cat 5 cable. The D5RHK is a freestanding hub version with 19" equipment rack ears supplied. Both feature a super bright OLED display on the keypads and can pass IR control signals back to the sources at the hub.

The D5XHE is a six zone equipment rack expansion unit which has audio loop-thru connection from the master hub and audio input level control. It features a serial RS-232 control port, IR emitter outputs, zone pairing for combining keypads in a zone and zone power output for longer distances. The biggest possible system is 32 zones which is achieved by linking together eight wall hubs!

Xantech DIGI-5 is a complete line of products that are simple to install using CAT5 cabling. Systems are configurable for single or multi-zone concurrent listening in four locations and are expandable to up to 32 locations. There is a wall mount hub version and a an equipment rack version also. Additional features include room EQ and local and shared source switching in each room.
