G&BL launches range of cables and accessories in the UK (30/10/2009)

G&BL, Italy’s largest consumer electronic cable and accessory company, launches its range of products in the UK. With a 4000 strong range available, G&BL has all the bases covered from the entry level to the high-end.

From audio through to video, G&BL cables are available to meet all budgets for any application. Their latest range of HDMI cables for example, offer models that feature HDMI 1.4 compatibility, 180° rotating plugs for flush fitting, flat or tubular cable in lengths from 1 metre up to 15 metres as well as different colour options for easy installation identification.

Celebrating their 30th birthday at IFA in Berlin, G&BL’s General Manager Stefano Clemente comments “We are extremely excited to be launching our range of cables and accessories into the UK market. Having worked to be the best supplier of products in other European markets, the UK was the obvious next step”. On the creation of G&BL UK, the new UK distributor, Clemente continues “The wealth of knowledge that the new company can bring to the G&BL family is vast and we are sure that we can make big inroads into the UK market”.

G&BL is a family run business that was created in Venice in 1979 by engineer Gianluigi Bano (G&BL stands for Gianluigi & Bano Linkings). His vision was to supply quality cabling solutions to the construction business but his own interest and love of all things audio led him to source cables for his own HiFi system. With much interest from friends and colleagues alike, he was persuaded to start production and sell the cables onto retailers. Through its thirty year history, G&BL has grown to the point where it can now offer a cabling solution across all areas of audio and video.

Throughout its excellent supply chain and customer service, G&BL grew to be the largest supplier of cables in Italy. For many companies this would have been enough. However, G&BL realised that with the ever changing world of consumer electronics, it needed to offer solutions that enabled its customers to be able to continue enjoying the quality of G&BL products regardless of the application.

In addition to cables, connectors and switching units, G&BL’s range now covers innovative iPod accessories, LCD and plasma screen wall brackets, computer peripherals, headphones, cleaning products and cases for laptops, cameras and portable audio products. In addition, G&BL also own the brands Venice Glass (high-quality glass shelving and equipment racks), iTECHline (accessories for iPod and MP3 players) and COVERIZED – a newly created brand that offers a unique range of laptop, camera and iPod cases designed by Italian fashion designers in line with the season’s latest trends.
