AMX appoints new eneral manager for AMX GmbH (17/11/2009) Reiner Pes takes the lead for Central Europe AMX® the leader in providing simplified solutions in the audio/visual control industry appointed new General Manager at AMX GmbH. Reiner Pes took up his new position on 1 October 2009 and is located at the Wendlingen office in Germany. He will be responsible for the German & Austrian markets including sales, marketing, finance, technical support and training as well as for the overall operations and will report to the European Managing Director, Kevin Morrison, based in the United Kingdom. Mr. Pes has over 20 years of experience in the IT and Data Communications industry and has held senior positions responsible for sales, marketing and product management is some of the leading companies in the industry including Panduit and EDS. After graduating from university with a degree in Computer Science he started his career as a Network Design Engineer and rapidly moved in to general management, working for some of the key manufacturers and system integrators in the sector. "I am delighted to be joining AMX at this time in the company’s growth. AMX are one of the few companies that have successfully managed to bridge the AV and IT convergence with world class products. The recent acquisitions and product portfolio of AMX today has huge potential in the German and Austrian market and I am excited about the company’s opportunity and my involvement going forward” explains Reiner Pes, General Manager of AMX GmbH. Kevin Morrison, AMX’s European Managing Director stated that “We are thrilled to have Reiner on board to head up our German and Austrian activities.
