Screen Excellence Unveils the In-Ceiling Eclipse Screen (9/12/2009)

Stand 5O140, ISE 2010

A motorized rolling screen integrated in a plenum is the ultimate solution to transform a living room in a stunning Home Theater. Invisible when retracted, the acoustically transparent projector screen becomes the core of the cinematic experience when open.

Screen Excellence ICE concept (patent pending) is a unique as it provides the possibility to install a motorized screen easily in the plenum of a ceiling. It comprises two main elements, which, not being mechanically linked, are fully adjustable in 3 dimensions:

* An electric rolling screen
* A ceiling adapter, slot type (available) or motorized trap door (in development)

The electric screen is fixed to any structural part at the top of the plenum, and is provided with adjustments possibilities in 3 directions. The ceiling adapter is totally independent from the screen, being fixed directly to the plasterboard bottom of the plenum.

The ceiling adapter comprises two parts, a fixed one which is directly fixed to the ceiling, and a mobile part allowing an easy intervention on the screen itself. This mobile part comprises either the slot or the motorized trap door, both being fully compatible and easily retrofitted for an upgrade.

Like any Screen Excellence projector screen, the ICE is fitted with the exclusive Enlightor range of fabrics, providing uncompromised image and sound quality.
