Helvar shows expanded Digidim and Imagine ranges of integrated lighting (15/12/2009)

Stand 3A124, ISE 2010

With its latest products designed to seamlessly combine commercial and architectural lighting systems, Helvar’s expanded Digidim and Imagine ranges are set to be on show at ISE 2010.

Visitors to Helvar’s stand, 3A124, will be able to see how its Ethernet based 920 router and 458 dimmer open up the possibilities for bringing together energy efficient, functional lighting with striking scene-setting ability.

A progression from Helvar’s familiar 910 Digidim router, the 920’s Ethernet backbone allows communication with third party peripherals, such as BMS, touch panels and HVAC systems, meaning that lighting designers and installers can add value to projects by providing possibilities for integration beyond lighting control

The TCP/IP standard 920 - fully compatible with Helvar’s existing controls range – is modular in its nature which makes future adaptation and expansion a straightforward process. The router runs two DALI subnets, allowing a total of 128 DALI devices to be connected and multiple routers can be linked, enabling a totally scalable network solution. Plus, with only common Ethernet cabling required the need for costly additional wiring and tools is eliminated.

Alongside the 920 router, Helvar’s 458 range of dimmers – already popular with installers for its versatility and precise levels of control – will be on show, with new, larger capacity models broadening the reach of the 458 and bringing intelligent control to projects ranging from residential applications to the largest commercial buildings.

The 458 series is now available in 8, 16 or 24 chassis and, with different control modules to choose from for dimming, switching and ballast control, delivers even further scalability and maximum flexibility throughout each fit-out stage. Hugely adaptable, the 458 is compatible with all common light loads and can be linked to third party systems through the router’s Ethernet backbone.
