Habitech Offers TrippLite Power Protection Products Capable of Remotely Powering Down/Up Sky HD Boxes (24/2/2010)

Habitech is now the UK distributor of TrippLite power protection products.

This family of products includes metered and remotely-switched power distribution units (PDUs) that allow you to power down and power up your client's Sky HD box from the comfort of your PC - fixing a simple problem in minutes, rather than hours or even days.

The 208/230/240V PDUMH15HVNET 1U rackmount has eight C13 switchable outlets that are individually controllable to turn on, off, recycle or lock out power. Remote control is via the web/network, the system can be accessed, configured and controlled through secure web, SNMP or telnet interfaces, and individually switched outlets can be controlled for remote reboot of unresponsive network hardware.

User-defined power-up and power-down outlet sequences ensure proper operation of interdependent IT systems and prevent inrush-related overloads as devices are powered on. In addition, an optional ENVIROSENSE temperature/humidity probe enables remote monitoring of in-rack environmental conditions and alarms for up to three user-supplied contact-closure sensors.
