CEDIA University Announces Streamlined Education Offerings for 2010 (25/2/2010)

New Power Hour webinar series adds even more affordable, accessible education opportunities

The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) has unveiled its 2010 schedule for CEDIA University education, which features a new Power Hour webinar series as well as a streamlined roster of events throughout the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. CEDIA University has placed a focus on affordability and accessibility, with more than 50 webinars and dozens of regional offerings slated, all at discounted rates.

New for 2010 is CEDIA’s Power Hour webinar series, which will feature more than 50 webinars throughout the year. Webinars will be powered by CEDIA's Industry Outreach curriculum, Technology Council, Survival of the Fittest, and e-Learning. The webinars will fall under a new theme each month, beginning with New Revenue Streams in February.

Additional education events include Boot Camp sessions, workshops, and CEDIA University core curriculum to be held at CEDIA’s Indianapolis training facility and at david, LLC in Westbury, N.Y. CEDIA will also travel to related industry tradeshows to deliver training and will continue working with partners such as security distributor ADI to provide education and certification opportunities. Also new in 2010, CEDIA will have an expanded presence throughout North and South America, with more events than ever before in Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.

CEDIA University offers industry-specific training for electronic systems professionals at all experience levels. Content is divided into five colleges: business, customer relations, designer, project management and technician. CEDIA University courses are delivered at year-round regional training events, at industry events, at CEDIA EXPO and online.

CEDIA has reduced rates for its 2010 education offerings in order to make training more affordable for budget-conscious companies.
