Invision Launches New Product Guide and Announces Updated DigiLinX Application Suite from NetStreams (1/3/2010) Invision, the UK's fastest growing distributor of integrated AV solutions for residential, commercial and marine applications, has produced a comprehensive product guide that it is distributing free of charge to custom installers. The guide contains full listings for all the distributor's current brands, such as RTI Control Systems, NetStreams, ReQuest, Polk Audio and ThemeScene, together with new brands for 2010 including Pakedge Network Devices, SolidDrive Invisible Speakers and Mozaex Blu-ray Servers.
The easy-to-use quick reference guide includes brief product overviews, important features, technical specifications, model numbers, ordering information and a full schedule of professional training courses. Invision UK recently expanded its product range with new brands, new technologies and new profit opportunities. The distributor can now offer its customers everything from multiroom audio, video and control solutions through to flatscreen TVs and projectors with all the necessary brackets, mounts, cables and connectors. Chris Dawson, Business Manager at Invision UK, said: "The product guide is an important part of our sales and marketing strategy. It will increase awareness of our expanded product range and we hope that custom installers will find it useful as a quick reference tool. We haven't included any trade pricing, so installers can use the guide to assist them in presenting these products to their clients, but a trade price list is available separately. Copies of the guide are available on request and our dedicated and experienced field-based technical sales team are on hand to provide local training, on-site product demonstrations, installation advice and technical support." NetStreams Releases Updated DigiLinX Application Suite NetStreams, the pioneer in AV over IP networking, recently acquired by ClearOne (NASDAQ: CLRO), the leading global provider of audio conferencing solutions, today announced the release of its new DigiLinX Application Suite.
DigiLinX Application Suite is the configuration software for the award-winning DigiLinX IP-Based Audio/Video Distribution network system from NetStreams. Among the new key features of the DigiLinX Application Suite are: * Support for Lutron Radio RA2 lighting control systems The DigiLinX Application Suite simplifies system setup by packaging multiple advanced configuration tools into an easy to use software package with includes: DigiLinX Dealer Setup 2.55, StreamNet(r) System Explorer, StreamNet ASCII Commander, DigiLinX Virtual Control Software, and a User Interface Demo. "This new release gives our dealers powerful tools for a whole new level of GUI customization, advanced diagnostics, and amazing new control capabilities," said Michael Braithwaite, Senior Vice President of Technology at ClearOne. "This release also demonstrates NetStreams' continuing commitment of product innovation to our residential channels and partners such as Lutron and Atlantic Technology." NetStreams Receives Strategic Patent for Streaming Audio, Video and Control Over IP Networks NetStreams has also announced that it was granted patent #7,643,894 for its Audio Network Distribution System on January 5th, 2010 by the United States Patent Office. The patent is for streaming synchronized time-sensitive audio and video over Local Area Networks. This is the second patent on StreamNet for NetStreams. Patent #2003-241405 in Australia is for Streaming AV over Local Area Networks. The StreamNet technology facilitates discovery, control and content management over standard networking using IP. NetStreams' patented StreamNet technology enables integrators to deliver complete IP-Based audio/video distribution solutions over TCP/IP networks. It provides an end-to-end IP ecosystem for plug-n-play connectivity, A/V signal synchronization, high performance A/V reproduction, automatic device discovery and configuration, network control, and more. When StreamNet endpoints are plugged into the IP network, automatic device discovery and configuration takes place. Endpoints immediately advertise their capabilities, reducing the need to configure the entire audio video network system from scratch. StreamNet IP-Based distributed audio, video and control systems leverage TCP/IP to deliver rich media digitally via a meshed IP network. Each StreamNet product on the network has its own network intelligence, eliminating the need for costly centralized matrix switches, controllers and supporting infrastructure. StreamNet systems scale as large as your network can grow; imposes no constraints on the number of sources, the number of audio playback zones and on the number or video displays. "A fundamental problem with using TCP/IP to distribute digital audio to multiple zones is the synchronization of this time sensitive data." said Michael Braithwaite, Senior Vice President of Technology for ClearOne. "Without this synchronization, audio can cut out, crackle and echo. StreamNet technology provides a simple and elegant solution by removing the effect of network delays." All products that carry the 'StreamNet Connected' logo are interoperable, enabling easy integration of audio/video and control products from multiple manufacturers. StreamNet provides a stable, easily expandable platform and tool set for future products and new applications. This enables manufacturers to deliver the future of A/V and IT convergence today. www.invisionuk.com
