Bjurab Sweden AB Becomes Draper Europe AB (2/3/2010)

Draper, Inc., has announced a name change for one of its European subsidiaries. Bjurab Sweden AB, of Halmstad, Sweden, will now be known as Draper Europe AB.

“The relationship between Draper and Bjurab was such that it became apparent the differences between the two organizations were minimal,” according to Draper President John Pidgeon. “We saw greater opportunities for success if we worked more closely together as one organization.”

Pidgeon is quick to point out, however, that the EuroScreen projection screen product line long associated with Bjurab will remain in place in the European market, and will continue to be developed in Sweden and distinct from the Draper brand.

“We find the name change a natural development,” says Göran Peterson, Managing Director of Draper Europe. “Although we’ve been a Draper subsidiary since 2002, we still wanted to take better advantage of Draper’s worldwide reputation as a leading manufacturer of audio visual products and this will allow us to do that.”
