‘Invisible’ loudspeakers revolutionise AV! Stealth Acoustics in-wall range set to make boxes obsolete

Stealth Acoustics’ innovate range of full-range, ‘invisible’ loudspeakers is now widely available in the UK – and they’re set to change the way consumers approach sound. Exclusively distributed in the UK by Habitech, the custom home cinema experts, Stealth’s range combines no-compromise acoustics with no-compromise aesthetics – at real-world prices.

Stealth speaker panels utilise a unique invisible acoustic 3-layer composite material, comprising two layers of high-grade graphics paper with a foam centre for the speaker face. Acoustic transparency is achieved via an ingenious, and unique, milling process. The face of the speaker is fixed flush with the wall, and finished with plaster, ahead of matching the room with paint. Front panels are mechanically isolated from the surrounding wall so as to prevent cracking of wallpaper and paint.

There are four speakers in the Stealth range, plus one subwoofer. The flagship AX3 is a line of full-range speakers with an audio performance to rival more pricey ‘visible’ models. A 3-way system, it utilises three high-power ‘neodymium’ motors and a high-power, 8-inch conventional woofer. This fires into an air-tight container to create a so-called ‘Acoustic Lever’, activating the 16x30inch panel for low frequencies. This results in an incredibly well-balanced, expressive system with excellent low-range, super-crisp high frequency response and a midrange with serious punch.

FX8 is a 2-way 8inch model, while FX6 is a 2-way 6inch speaker. Both are ideal as rear speaker, or left/centre/right (LCR). The STX8 single-panel stereo system has the same footprint as the FX8, but uses two independent channels, isolated with separate heavy-duty cross-overs. Ideal for multi-room audio in bathrooms, or smaller spaces like hallways.

The B1630 two-panel, 2 x 8inch woofer invisible subwoofer system uses Stealth’s Lever Acoustic technology to create unrivalled bass up to 160Hz. Designed to work in twos, the panels can be mounted adjacently, staked or split, depending on your requirements. A 255R subwoofer amplifier is also available.
