Harrods Sony Centre announces the arrival of the BRAVIA HX903 3D TV (12/3/2010) The very first 3D TV will be on public display and available to pre order in the Sony Centre in Harrods, Knightsbridge today (12 March 2010). Harrods will be displaying the Sony model which is 3D ready, offering consumers the opportunity to see 3D technology in action as ‘seeing is really believing’. The 52 inch model is expected to retail at £2,500 and other sizes will range from 46 inch up to 60 inch. To enjoy 3D content, viewers will also require 3D glasses available to purchase separately and a 3D transmitter. High consumer demand is anticipated and as such all customers will be given the opportunity to pre-order their very own 3D TV today at the Sony Centre at Harrods. Sam Zaku, Business Manager for Sound & Vision at Harrods said: ‘We’re really excited to be able to offer our customers the opportunity to see 3D TV first hand as seeing the technology in action is out of this world. 3D is continuing to dominate the headlines and once more, our Sound & Vision department is at the forefront of cutting edge technology. We are delighted to offer our customers the chance to demo the first 3D TV in store today.” The new Sony BRAVIA HX 903 combines unique design with IPTV capabilities which, above all, allows consumers to experience an incredible 3D journey in full HD with a built in Freeview HD tuner. Sony confirmed earlier this year that their 3D TV sets will be compatible with any 3D TV service or content broadcast by both Sky and Virgin Media. Full HD 3D technology from Sony uses the high frame rate of its 200Hz TVs together with Active Shutter glass technology to create incredibly realistic depth and vivid 3D images.
