Habitech Announces Fusion Research as Server Partner for Control4 (6/5/2010)

Media server manufacturer Fusion Research has just been appointed as one of twelve official partner companies in the Control4 Certified Partner Programme.

The Fusion Research Media Server, distributed in the UK by Habitech, now has a two-way IP (and IR) driver for Control4. The driver supports two-way control of movies, allowing display and full control of Fusion movies using a Control4 touchpanel. As with the previous driver, the new driver also offers control of music and photos, but does not offer two-way for music or photos.

The new driver has many features recommended directly from Control4 dealers, and allows the products to seamlessly integrate. Indeed Habitech has tried the driver, and got it working withing five minutes.

Fusion media systems offer new ways to view and listen to all of your digital media. Fusion products have been placed in commercial and residential environments including hotels, yachts, homes and businesses.

Fusion systems allow movies, music and photos to be enjoyed from multiple locations across a network. For example, you could watch the same movie at different times in multiple locations or multiple different movies a single location.

Fusion media servers and players can be controlled via IR or by IP commands, and the command set is provided so that integrators can build their own control interface.
